Do you want to stop sabotaging your happiness?

Have you been addicted to an unhealthy way of coping with emotional stress and overwhelm?

It takes courage and strength to be on the journey of Addiction recovery group therapy for women Burnaby

Addiction affects the way your brain works and can become part of fixed beliefs that you have internalized. Remember that we choose the thoughts we think (even though it may not feel like that). Sometimes external or old messages impact those thought patterns.

Often it can feel like nobody understands. Getting caught up in a destructive way of self-soothing becomes a secret because you feel powerless and ashamed. Your inner critic has a field day every time you catch yourself giving in yet once again, even though you had promised yourself that you wanted to change.

Happiness is built on healthy self-esteem. Learn to love and accept all of you.

Not everyone understands addiction, those who don’t understand might tell you that it is just a question of willpower. But it isn’t.

Addiction counselling for women group therapy BurnabyAddiction recovery isn’t just about stopping unhealthy or destructive behaviour patterns, it’s about developing new tools and new neuro pathways in your brain.

It’s about developing new habits that can help you address and deal with the scenarios that your mind conjures which frighten or worry you. Healing from addiction means developing new coping skills to deal with “unbearable” feelings and scenarios.

Learn to live in harmony with your inner nature – increase balance, contentment and joy in your life without addiction.

The Recovery Circle for Women is a safe space to explore what a new and effective way of dealing with stress and anxiety could look like for you.
